Preserve your brand or identity when posting media to twitter with Pixelpipe

We’ve recently released a number of new features for users sending media to micro-blogs and status services such as twitter. The main goal was to extend our media delivery platform for users wishing to send (linked) media and to provide a number of customization options to allow users to preserve their brand or identity.Here’s a few highlights of the release

  • Ability to customize the landing page to maintain the look of your web site or even twitter page (see example)
  • Shortened URL under the http://pi.pe domain
  • Support for linking to Photo, video, audio and files (PDF, Word, Zip…)
  • Automatic playback of photo, video, audio and link to files
  • Now supporting comments from viewers
  • These features work with the following services Twitter, britekite, friendfeed, identi.ca, Jaiku, kwippy, Ping.fm, plerb, PLURK, Rejaw & youare.com

  1. THIS IS AWESOME. love the pi.pe shortened url too. there is just THREE major things that you need for the media page now: {to make it even better than ping.fm etc}
    1> please this is the most important- some sort of stats! please let me know how many time it’s been viewed {like ping.fm does and flickr does and youtube does} this is really important.

    2> please put some sort of thumbnails for previous or next media, showing our library of uploaded media…

    3> please put or integrate a user profile picture – maybe gravatar – so our profile pic is next to our page title.

    4> BONUS – links to ALL the places the media was uploaded too would be awesome. that way people have the choice to leave a comment on the platform they like best. just say i am a big flickr user and if i see a photo on pi.pe but i want to leave a comment or like it, and i see the URL for the same picture uploaded on flickr, i can do my favouriting etc there!

    you guys have the most amazing platform! keep up the great work.

  2. ok worked out a killer way to do my profile pic on there- check out this goodness:

    and the more i think about it the more i REALLY want awesome stats!! like where did people click on the link from? that would show us what websites it was worth uploading our status / links to! great ideas i tell ya!

  3. I agree with all 4 tings that DJ Paine mentioned.
    and would like to add one;

    - iPhone support, now a image is a bit too small, it would be great if the page was optimised for iPhone

    Thanks, I’m going to turn off the Twitpic twitter update, I like pixelpipe more…
