We’ve released our new sidebar uploader for Firefox and Flock browsers. The big features are the ability to upload photo, video and audio content however there’s a fun feature that allows any image to be uploaded directly from the browser by right clicking on it and choosing the “Upload image with Pixelpipe option”. There’s really no easier way to share a picture directly from the browser across the Social Web.
Available now at at https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/11581.

Just right click over any images in the browser to upload through Pixelpipe to your favorite destinations

Where are the flickr sets? It’s really important to be able to pick these before upload since it’s a time consuming pain to do this after upload.

We support the ability to choose a default album for uploads to Flickr. You can enter your default album after logging into Pixelpipe under My Pipes, just select your Flickr pipe and set the option for default album. Tip: You can have multiple Flickr pipes with different default albums and set Routing Tags to route media on the fly. eg @flickr, @flickrtravel, @flickrvideos.

Hi, 2 suggestions:
1. Please try a deviantart.com uploader too…although i dunno if theres an API anywhere
2. Support twitter text updates from within firefox
Thanks…keep up the great work
may i know which handset you own?

1. Deviantart does not have an API for 3rd parties, it looks as though you can add them as an FTP pipe however. We haven’t tried this however you can try FTP upload with these instructions http://help.deviantart.com/677/. Let us know how it goes.
2. We’ve been thinking about adding that feature, thanks for the feedback.
3. We all have a mix of iPhones, Android and Nokia handsets. I personally use the iPhone 3G and HTC Magic however am really excited about the N97

You are over your capacity for WebShots and your uploads are being refused. Try using a service like Nokia Ovi http://share.ovi.com that offers unlimited storage for media.

How do you get “Drag Items for Upload” to work? in the sidebar addon? I’ve tried dragging items from both a browser windows and from Windows Explorer and nothing ever happens. Firefox 3 & Win Vista

I have no idea why drag and drop isn’t working for you, we just tested and couldn’t figure out how you can be having issues unless it’s specific to your setup. If you can’t drag and drop just click to select through the explorer.

Please better explain on how routing tags work. Your explanation “Items that you add this as a routing tag to, will be sent to this destination instead of your default.” is a very awkward sentence, the comma doesn’t even make sense. Please elaborate in a cleaner more understandable way. Is this the tags field in Quick Upload? I at first thought that the tags field is the tags set on the destination site for the uploaded item. If it is actually routing tags, then do they override any check box selected destinations? What does “will be sent to this destination instead of your default” in this context? I don’t see a “default” in the Quick Upload”.

Routing Tags do not function in Quick Post since you are selecting from a list of your avaiable services already. Have a look at this blog post for a more detailed description of how routing tags work http://blog.pixelpipe.com/2008/08/30/sending-media-to-individual-pipes-and-groups-of-destinations/
